1963 - Starting a Company
Operating out of 2 hotel rooms in Rogers, Arkansas. Lem Tull and Bob Crafton open the very first office.
1971 - Moving a Company
Crafton, Tull & Associates, Inc. moves to it's new location along Highway 94 in Rogers. A top-of-the-line computer is purchased for $130,000 filling an entire room.
1981 - Moving a Company
A merger with Spann, Swearingen, and Yoe allows Crafton, Tull & Associates, Inc. to begin providing Architectural services. Former President (then Governor) Bill Clinton cuts the ribbon and cake at the celebration of our office expansion!
1988 - Growing a Company
The company has now grown to include 6 principals, 14 graduate engineers, and 4 architects.
1996 - A Founder Retires
Lem Tull, one of the original co-founders, retires after 33 years of leadership. Mansur, Daubert, Strella, an engineering firm based in Tulsa, OK is acquired.
1999 - A Company in Change
Perkins & Associates in Russellville, AR is acquired to offer architectural, engineering and surveying services in central Arkansas. Geurin Engineering is acquired in Tulsa, OK to provide structural services.
2000 - Bob Crafton Retires
Employees and friends gather at the Holiday Inn in Springdale, AR to celebrate Bob Crafton's retirement after 37 years of leadership.
2002 - Relocating an Office
The Rogers, AR office moves to a more central location in the center of a growing Northwest Arkansas region along I-540.
2003 - Oklahoma City office is opened!
An Oklahoma City office is opened for engineering and surveying services, not far away an architecture groups starts as well. The two will join forces in 2006.
2004 - Merger with I.C.E.
A merger with I.C.E. Inc., a structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering firm in Little Rock, AR adds 40 employees and a central Arkansas presence.
2006 - Merged with SPARKS Companies
Merger with SPARKS, an architectural, engineering and interior design firm, results in top 500 ranking by Engineering News Record; an office is opened in Wichita, KS; and firm is named to ZweigWhite’s Top 100 Hot Firms list.
2008 - DEI Joins Firm
Design Engineers Inc., a 50-year old, 16 person municipal and civil engineering firm in Oklahoma City, joins Crafton Tull Sparks.
