Tulsa,OK-(January 7, 2008)-The grand opening of the Skiatook Multipurpose Activity Center was held Sunday. The 103,000 SF complex is officially named "Dr. Gary Johnson Activity Center" after Skiatook Schools' current superintendent.
Dr. Gary Johnson described the building as "Skiatook's new architectural gem." The facility includes a gift shop, fitness center, a walking track, training, aerobics, wrestling rooms, school store as well as dressing rooms and offices. Jumbo video screens will be at each end of the arena with live-coverage televisions at the concession and VIP areas.
Crafton Tull Sparks provided architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and interior design services. Crossland Construction Co. Inc. was honored in two categories for this project at the 2007 Excellence in Construction Awards Program sponsored by the Oklahoma Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors.
