Fayetteville Shale Play
Crafton Tull Sparks has surveyed over 2,500,000 acres for wells and pipelines throughout the Fayetteville Shale in north central Arkansas. To speed production we created the state's only Virtual Reference Station network (VRS).
This type of Global Positioning System (GPS) eliminates the need to set up a base station for each survey project and gives real-time data to surveyors, producing unparalleled mobility and accuracy. Once the base stations were established, surveyors used GPS receivers in the field to compile survey data. The system has increased production by 20 percent per day, per crew, without additional costs to the clients. The time saved allows clients to start drilling quicker and get their product to market faster.
