Walnut Ridge Bypass - Walnut Ridge, AR
In a joint venture, Crafton Tull Sparks designed this nine-mile bypass around Walnut Ridge and Hoxie. The $60 million project provides a four-lane roadway on new alignment with 15 bridges. The firm designed the south half of the project, which includes bridge and drainage structures along with roadway design. Crafton Tull Sparks was also responsible for all surveying and preparation of right-of-way plans. During the design phase, the joint-venture managed sub-consultants for geotechnical investigations, photogrammetric mapping, and title abstracting services. During the construction phase, bridge fabrication drawings were reviewed to ensure compliance with the design plans.
