Sand Springs Public Works Complex

The City of Sand Springs Public Works Department was having difficulty providing their services to the Sand Springs community due to cramped, inefficient, and unsafe facilities scattered throughout the city in various locations. To improve their ability to meet the city's needs and to provide a safe and efficient work environment for the public works staff, Sand Springs teamed with Crafton Tull to provide design services for a new public works complex that consolidates all six of their public works departments onto one site, including Administration, Facilities Maintenance, Fleet Maintenance, Street Department, Water Department, and Solid Waste. The project includes staff offices and meeting rooms, vehicle and equipment storage and work bays, a fleet wash facility, central inventory and receiving, exterior material and equipment storage, and provides a new face for the City of Sand Springs Public Works Department. The $7.6 million complex improves the efficiency of staff operations and the overall quality of life for both the public works staff and the greater Sand Springs community.
