NWACC - Center for Health Professions

Crafton Tull provided design services for Northwest Arkansas Community College’s Center for Health Professions building. The facility provides instructional spaces for nursing, physical and occupational therapy, and allied professions. It also includes office space for instructors and staff. Gathering areas provide space where students and instructors can interact with one another in a relaxed and informal setting. Movable walls help accommodate large groups and presentations by allowing classrooms to be combined. Technology that records students as they perform the duties expected of them in a hospital setting better prepares them for real-world scenarios. An EMT classroom lab equipped with an ambulance simulator brings students closer to on the job experiences. The use of sustainable materials and site design helped this project achieve LEED® silver certification.
