University of Arkansas Discovery Hall
The University of Arkansas at Fayetteville hired Crafton Tull to provide services on a multiple phase project to make updates to Discovery Hall, a five-story, 54,000-square-foot building. Crafton Tull worked closely with university staff to create a space that best meets their needs. The renovations included the reconfiguration of existing labs to add hood space and adaptive design classrooms to accommodate the campus' changing needs. In addition to interior updates, the team rehabilitated the building’s weathered concrete exterior and replaced the windows. Construction took place during the university’s winter and summer breaks to keep the building open for classes. Careful planning and structured construction deadlines paired with flexibility on the part of the architect and contractors delivered each phase on schedule.
