Russellville High School Performing Arts Center & Science Center
The $21 million dollar facility is planned to house a 2,000 seat performing arts auditorium, which will support new band, choir, drama and art spaces. The entire 152,000 SF project will include several renovations and additions, including a 16,000 SF science center. The design character of the new performing arts center facade will wrap around the front of the existing high school to create a new look and identity for the 35 year old facility.
Theatrical equipment includes fly gallery, 2 lighting bridges and 2 light trees. Auditorium includes an orchestra pit, light & sound control room and 600 seat balcony. Band and choir areas consist of 12 practice rooms and 6 rehearsal rooms which includes a 7,000 SF band rehearsal room. The new facility has a blackbox theater/green room, dressing rooms, costume shop, stagecraft area and loading docks.
